I just heard a war update report on MSNBC. Here's the scoop, together with some thoughts.

* The moon ain't right for March 17th and won't be right until April 1st.

Will worldwide loving neckers become disrupted by a fury of war?

* The 101st Airborne's troops still have their equipment at sea.

Now originally I heard they were gonna come in through Turkey, and shore up the northern oil fields. I've since heard reports they're actually in Kuwait. If in Kuwait, is their equipment off the shores of Turkey?

* The question was asked why can't at least the bombing start now? The MSNBC announcer must be from Lazarus' Get the War Over thread. The response was because the game plan is for it all to happen simultaneously--introduction of both bombs and troops. The response noted they've gotta save the wells and go after the spots where it's known that weapons of mass destruction are located.

Now the reason they want it simultaneously, I guess, is because they're really environmentalists masquarading as warriors--they don't want the oil field set ablaze. Very considerate. But could it really be they're willing to risk lives in order to save the money of having to both fight the fires or rebuild the wells and get right smack dab into the buisiness of selling oil?

Anyway, now on to the big: WHAT? The war has to begin simultaneously because they're gonna go in and get the weapons of mass destruction? My gosh, how do they know where they are and if they do know where they are why aren't they sending the UN weapons inspectors in to get them? Does the US really wanna hide Saddam's WDM so it can make the claim they got 'em, instead of the inspectors?

Anyone whose just read the above has gotta agree with me: Somethin's either super fishy, the people running this war are really dumb or everyone's being hustled on a run for oil!
