Whether Blair gives it up now or not, I think he's ruined his career. Its too bad; I thought he was one of the better liberal politicians.

I am not sure he did. The labor voters have no place further left to go than labor, and labor without Blair are a bunch of losers, who will find a way to lose everything Blair won for them over the years. They will go back to the wilderness where they have been for years, before Blair lead them out.

BTW, considering how pathetic the leadership of the Tory party has been lately, if ousted as Labor leader, Blair may consider switching parties... It would be a win-win for both sides - Blair and Tories.
