The reality is I dont think the weather will make much of a difference over the next 6 weeks, unless another 7-10 day really cold period shows up. We already have established very bullish conditions, another cold wave will just be more destruction faster.

I am not so worried about near term futures prices, but I do think they need to go much higher to destroy demand. But perhaps between now and the end of April we see next Winters futures work higher and higher while the market struggles with the need to price out demand now.

The near term driver to watch for is the first oil wells in Iraq to be burning.

Que, Russ or EnergyP etc..... Do any of you guys have an opinion on Ultra Petroleum (UPL) going forward?

It has had a good run since the 2nd half of 2002...but it has gone nowhere--actually down...during the recent nat-gas spike.

Currently I am holding, but looking to get out..into something more appetizing such as CHK.
