I see. You found another angle to blame America. How original.

We (the US) like to behave like we are the leaders of the free world, then we must be ready to shoulder the heavy responsibility that comes with that role. Why is this so unacceptable to you? An administration has come to power which departs quite radically from expected norms of international behaviour. What you have now is little more than the germination of seeds sown over the last two years. The squandering of all the post 9/11 good will is a shocking failure of the adminstration to capitalize on the momentum this unfortunate tragedy afforded it to do good deeds in the world. Sorry if you don't like it...but that's the way it seems to be at the moment.

The US is a member of the UN. If the UN is inept at any given issue, then the US has failed as well, as has every nation that belongs to it. Since the US is such a dominant member, then it shoulders most of the blame.

I never quite understand statements like these. In your mind, is America flawless and the rest of the world is to blame for the ills of the world? We just have to be rather than have to do anything of consequence. Just curious........
