z,

Many of the people (I'd go out on a limb and say the majority) of Iraq do support Saddam and oppose the U.S.

How do you figure these things out?

When you hear the same thing over and over and over for your whole life with no rebuttal, you believe it.

It wasn't the case in Eastern Europe.

Joe

Zo Re..This shouldn't be a real consideration of ours, though. They believe as they do because all they see is the state-run propaganda which tells them over and over that Saddam is great and that the U.S. is run by Zionists who want to kill Arabs

Do you really believe what you are saying. The people of Iraq don't believe it anymore than Ted believes GW. In fact, the people of Iraq have more reasons to hate Saddam, than Ted has GW.
