This is for domestic US and UK consumption. The Poodle is up a creek. NYT/CBS poll reported on today, however, suggests Bush propaganda has strengthened his hand at home somewhat. That would certainly continue if the UN keeps bickering. M2

If they get 9 votes and France veto. Then Bushies will say: "Look, it's France against the world and the Just war". That's why France,Russia, Germany and other anti-war nations are also trying to get the votes under 9, as I can see.

Just more hypocrisy. Think of it as the reverse of the presidential election. In that one Gore got the most votes, but lost on a "technicality" i.e. the electoral college system. Gore's popular victory was dismissed. Different tune now. If Bush can get the most votes in the Security Council, he can say he lost on a "technicality" i.e. the 3 vetoes and claim that he is actually the victor.
