But that's the point of this board. You said that says it all as though it has some bearing either on zonder's arguments or the main point of the thread.... I don't believe it does. If someone wants anonymity... maybe she's scared of drunken warmongers turning up in her rather small hometown and spewing on her doorstep? Maybe she just feels it's nothing to do with any of us? It's most unlikely there's anything germane to hide: she's said/implied she's not French, so no insult possible there, and if she's Iraqi or US ex-pat I'd say it strengthens her case as she'd have a more immediate involvement. <edit as I cut without pasting back> So what requirement is there to disclose nationality, or anything else? We should stand or fall here by the quality of our words, IMO... if there was material interest, as in a stock thread, then I'd say disclosure is necessary if only to clarify motive - but here the motives are apparent and the whole point for being here!
