I thought you were talking about Fannie and Freddie being bailed, which has never happened.

BTW LTCM deal was bailed by the the original investors, not the Fed. The NY Fed simply pulled a JP Morgan and made them all stay in the room until they figured out they had to cough up more dough if they ever wanted to see their original money again. That and the Fed injected liquidity in the form of massive coupon passes.
