Assigning Blame is what usually happens when plans go wrong, and people aren't getting what they want. If Iraq turns out to be a tar-baby:
the NeoCons will be blaming the pacifists for "stabbing them in the back",
everyone will blame Israel for why the Arabs hate us,
the U.S. will blame Europe for being wimps,
Europe will blame the U.S. for unilateralism,
Republicans will blame Democrats for not showing a united front against the nation's enemies,
Democrats will blame Republicans for the sin of hubris
Neocons will blame Realists for being willing to compromise
Realists will blame NeoCons for trying to do too much
etc.
etc.
etc.
