Then they should not be holding decision making positions in the first place. Nobody said it is easy. But that doesn't mean government can just muddle through and make it up on the go then vacate office and leave the mess for others to deal with.

The way policies are made is like the way fund managers react to the stock market. 99% of them, all of whom very smart and educated people, fail miserably to perform as good as dumb dart throwing. For similar reasons our policy makers fail to foresee the threats. However, there are those so rare fund managers who have vision and can provide real returns to their constituents. We need someone more like Warren Buffet in the office than a momentum trader, figuratively speaking of course.
