If it were just the French, if the rest of the coalition (predicted by the Hawks a year ago) had come together, I'd agree with you. But we are seeing the emergence of a Stop-The-Americans coalition, that includes the Germans, Russians, Chinese, S. Koreans, Japanese. If Blair falls, and if we continue trying to bully the Mexicans, the Canadians and Australians may go too, and we may find ourselves with no allies other than the Israelis.

That is beneath you, Mike. Anchorage's municipal boundaries abut Elmendorf Air Base, and Fort Richardson. If the N. Koreans get backed into a corner and lash out, those are as likely targets as anywhere. And several relatives in the Air National Guard who have been called up.
