From my recollection it was many more countries than simply just the U.S. that "created" Saddam. Regardless, he needs to be uncreated now.

Shawn, France, Germany and a zillion other countries in addition to the U.S. sell arms. I don't know where you're from, but I bet your country buys our weapons too. The weapons are intended for the legitimate self-defense needs that all countries have. If you don't like this system, I feel your pain; go create your own utopia somewhere and live in peace there with my blessing, but don't go crying to me about how awful we are that we sell weapons. You're not going to change the fact any time soon that our species has fought wars and armed themselves for the past 10,000 years. This is the real world we live in and not a Philosophy 0101 class. It was Saddam Hussein's choice to unleash those weapons against his neighbors, not ours. There is only one person on the planet that you can blame for one million Iranian and Kurdish deaths of that region and he wears a moustache and hides in a different castle everyday of the week. You should ponder to yourself for a while why he does that. Lastly, I believe you lie when you insinuate the United States knowingly denied that Iraq had used gas weapons against Iran. I remember well when the first pictures came back of Hussein's gas attacks. The U.S. and all it's citizens were appalled and still are; Indeed, we are more fearful than ever that he was use them again; and not just on us! Nerve gas kills Europeans as easily as Americans. Saddam Hussein needs to be stopped before he can murder anyone else. That is exactly what this war will be about.
