Cary-- You must understand that I am critical of the US passivity in the face of all of these crimes against humanity--whether conducted by Iraq, Iran, Israel, Rwanda, or Turkey. I am especially furious that the US failed to sign the declaration defining crimes against humanity-- I wish I remember the specifics.

However, a raison d'etra of the UN is to prevent, stop, and punish genocide and they have failed miserably. It takes exceptional non-effort to make the US look good, and the UN has taken the exceptional non-effort.
