I'm starting to average in here with some intermediate term
trades.

May go long DIA and some beaten up components of the Dow
for a rally here.

I'm not sure if Dick Arms signaled it yet but it appears
to be around the time where he looks at the chart of the
trin and notices it's moving average getting up (or past)
near that buy signal. Usually that signals a rally
withing a few weeks (or month or more).

I was looking for my link on that buy signal but can't seem
to find it. I forget if he uses a 7 day or 10 moving
average. Anyhow when I plug both of those in I'm seeing a
level higher than the ones in May, July, and October.

If we see a high volume sell off in the next week or so,
I'll be going long in a big way.

If anyone knows what the Buy signal for Dick Arms, please
post it. I'm pretty sure it was a 7 day moving average
above 1.8 or something like that. Perhaps it has to break
it twice in a row...

11:16 ET Hearing Pakistan will now vote yes on US-UK resolution on Iraq :

11:28 ET US-UK may now be just one vote away from majority on Iraq vote - CNN : CNN.com reports that the Bush administration believes that it is just one vote shy of having 9 of 15 votes needed on a U.N. Security Council resolution that sets a Monday deadline for Iraqi compliance; officials are focusing diplomatic energies on Mexico and Chile to secure their backing, as they are confident they have the support of Cameroon, Guinea, and Angola, and now believe that Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf can be counted on for his support when a vote happens this week (Pakistan said a few days ago that it would abstain).

Polish Nobel Peace laureate Walesa urges backing for U.S.-led strike on Iraq
2 hours, 13 minutes ago

WARSAW, Poland - Former Polish President Lech Walesa, the winner of the 1983 Nobel Peace Prize, on Wednesday urged the U.N. Security Council to back a U.S.-led war on Iraq (news - web sites) and criticized the United Nations (news - web sites)' "ineffectiveness" so far.

The United States and Britain are seeking support for a new resolution that would give Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein (news - web sites) an ultimatum to disarm, or face war. They face opposition from France, Russia and other nations that argue U.N. weapons inspections should continue.

"International authorization for the United States is today the only way to solve common problems," Walesa said in a statement. "In view of the ineffectiveness of U.N. actions, the international community must authorize the United States and its allies, as its representatives, to take the necessary action."

"Otherwise, there will be further conflicts and mutual accusations will weaken cooperation between the nations of the democratic world," Walesa added.

If the new resolution is defeated, U.S. President George W. Bush (news - web sites) and British Prime Minister Tony Blair (news - web sites) have said they would be prepared to go to war anyway. Poland's current government backs their stance.

Walesa, the founder of the Solidarity movement and a key figure in the end of communism in Poland, was president from 1990 until 1995, when he lost his re-election bid to current President Aleksander Kwasniewski.

Howdy Troops! Hope everyone had a super week in the market.

Had to hit the road this week. Meetings, meetings, meetings. Fun, fun, fun. 4 states in 3 days so far. Tonight in Dallas for a meeting, then Colo to check some property Saturday, and back to the main homestead Sunday.

Not much time to watch the market. Did sell some covered calls, and sold some puts this week.

Hey, where did all that green come from! Moo!

Nothing changed on my watch list from what posted a week or so ago. Will have to catch up on the chart homework later this weekend.

Have a super weekend!
