To be honest, I'm not sure I've ever had a political conversation with a black person, let alone a southern black person, and it represents that to me.

It's funny- I wouldn't have ever thought I'd be having this argument- I didn't realize until a couple of years ago that anyone still flew that flag.

Having lived my entire life in the South, where the Confederate flag is seen at times, I must say that there is literally no connection between the flag and slavery. The Confederate flag never stood for slavery or hatred of blacks. This is something cooked up by some southern blacks about 10-15 years ago, and they really need to get over it.

Let's try to put the pieces of this complicated puzzle together. Hmmmmmm.....why does the Confederate flag piss blacks off? Let me see here.....first off, this is a America and the Confederacy was a separate country. However, that doesn't really explain why the blacks hate the Confederacy's flag.

The Confederacy was established after the South seceded from the US. Still, the blacks shouldn't be getting all agitated over that.......really its pretty normal to establish a new country when you secede.

Of course, the reason the South seceded from the USA is because the North wanted to abolish slavery. The Confederacy was intended to preserve slavery since it was considered an integral part of southern living and vital to the southern economy. BINGO!!

And you say we liberals are dumb!! What part of "the confederate flag symbolizes slavery to blacks" do you not get. Tuesdays must be a slow thinking day for you.
