I looked at the PIMCO fund and at that time they only held tips. My thoughts were why should I pay some one to buy these as we can purchase them ourselves and eliminate the middle man. Also what went through my mind is we could have deflation and the CRB could go up in US dollars which would not be what I was looking for in a commodity fund.

The Oppenheimer fund management buys and sells commodity contracts or calls and puts on them so we will get the increase evaluation of the CRB as long as they do not make a large mistake. I am in the camp with Jimmy Rogers where the CRB will go up over the long haul. The fund is expensive, but the fellows that run it look like they are over 55 and have been around the horn with commodities. <g>
