Not only do we pay higher oil prices, we pay higher taxes to support this effort. How high? The combined additional tax load in federal, state, and local taxes, caused by higher federal military expenses and lower federal grants to state and local government (made up mainly by higher local taxes) adds about 30 percent to everyone's tax bill for at least the next five to ten years. This added tax burden comes at a time when the federal government is trying to spur economic growth with lower taxes. It won't work because the administration hasn't factored in the disastrous effect of higher state and local taxes.

As I said, that foolish theory plays well only to the ignorant and naive. You obviously believe it.
