If the Sec. Council agrees to that ultimatum, do you think it will chill Bush and satisfy his moral obligation to see the right thing done?

It has long been the position of the Bush administration that a satisfactory disarmament of Saddam is tantamount to his being deposed, as we can easily assist his own people in staging a coup if he is adequately disarmed.

I would guess if Bush did agree to such terms it would be with the expectation that Saddam recognizes that without arms he is out, and thus under no circumstances would disarm adequately anyway. If he DID, they I suspect we would get the same result but without a war (and taking a little longer).
