GF: I see what you're saying, especially when looking at the chart, but I can't help thinking that this spring is looking a lot different from last spring at this time. So much uncertainty, one can put the figurative fork in the consumer, the economy which was spinning on one leg is about to fall over and even the "pundits" who've been calling the bottom for the last 2.5 years of false bottoms can't get interested in calling yet another bottom. [Edit: re pundits. Has anyone noticed that CNBC has changed its emphasis from being a financial "news" network to reporting on politics, the war, personalities--almost anything but financial news?] With the BPNDX at 31, it's only 3 names away from 28; my gut feel is it's going to fall farther and match either October or last July.
