I'm not a big fan of Miramar or Gabriel.

I think that Great Basin, and Wheaton River will provide better returns and have better assets.

Alamos and Birim aren't great either - It's nice that Alamos has Chestar Millar so I'm sure he will pump the thing, but there are better stories out there for advanced stage and, in the case of Birim for African exploration.

With regard to IVN, at least one has comfort that the terminal value, whether it be through a sale of the company or otherwise, will most likely be maximized. Also, I doubt if Friedland will do any self-destructive financings. At some point I would expect some high-powered promotion as well.

Which is in stark contrast to many of these junior companies, which seem to have a real penchant for doing fatuous financings and silly joint-venture deals.
