OT: Jacob the VIX is over 40. We got our last short term bottom on a day like this one but at that time the VIX RSI was 70. It is not that high today at only 62.3. That being said a short term rally could take place at any time because the VIX is stretched too far from its shorter term moving averages:

stockcharts.com[h,a]daclyyay[pb20!b50!b200!c13!c20!c50!i!d20,2!f][vc60][iUb14!La12,26,9!Lg!Li10,10!Lh5,5!Lp14,3,3!Ll14]&pref=G

Ultimately though we have to expect that it could very well hit 50 again in the next two weeks giving us another important bottom from which a really strong sustainable rally could take place. At least for a few weeks.
