The spin is "humanitarian motivations" in their varying flavors.

Possibly.. surely US companies stand to do very well from supporting the ouster of Saddam Hussein..

But at least we can do so with a relatively clear conscience, unlike the French and Russians, who SHOULD be ASHAMED of finding themselves in a position of selling out to support a murderous Iraqi tyrant..

I can only imagine what kind of pressure would be on the US were we supporting Saddam and it was France and Russia trying to oust him..

In the end, it should be for the Iraqi people to decided who they opt to do business with, based upon greater return of value.
