The building, 675 15th St. NW, was evacuated after two suspicious packages were discovered in two cars in the parking garage, officials said. The building houses U.S. Treasury satellite offices, legal offices and the Old Ebbitt Grill Restaurant, among other businesses. The building was evacuated about 12:30 p.m. EST (1730 GMT) as police and fire officials rushed to the scene. Part of 15th Street, between the building and the U.S. Treasury, has been closed and traffic diverted.
