Anyway, my interest is more on the side of the equity markets. I have little doubt that this bear will take out all of the gains from 1995-99, leaving the Dow under 4000, S&P at 460 and the Nasdaq at 750. The only question is "When?"

I was also curious about the overall context in which the above scenario would unfold. The misadventures that the Bush administration is embarking on, answered that question. And in a bizarre way, it is for the good because it will only hasten the decline and maybe the next bull-market will begin by the end of this decade rather than by the middle of the next!
