Well there is still a 25% or so chance that all will turn out well, either with no war, or a quick victory with no serious long-term repercussions. Who knows, this may even turn out to be the tipping point that starts the Arab world on the road to greater democracy and perhaps peace in the Middle East.

Maybe it's 50% even.

The effect of humungous deficits on the US economy is another question, although the US will get Iraq to pay for its own recontstructon. And if all goes well, lower oil prices will come to the aid of the world economy. At least there is hope, except for the thousands that will be killed.
