Sorry, doesn't cut it. This is not a war over Israel,nor is his emphasis on the possible effects of reservations. He is clearly suggesting that it is the influence of the Jewish lobby that is distorting the policy process and leading us into an otherwise wrong- headed war with Iraq.....

Some prominent Jewish leaders have opposed or expressed ambivalence about the war. If more where to join them I don't think it would have a huge impact. You not even talking about 2% of the population, but the small % that are leaders, and really an even smaller % because some have already made less then supportive statements about the war.
