>>Then why don't you petition Bush for paying his UN bills, signing the World Court treaty, assigning some troops to UN, and most importantly create a division with the mandate to prevent massacre and genocide. Currently these are not on UN's plate so stop complaining<<

In a previous post, I indicated that I was appalled that the US did not sign the World Court Treaty. However, please relate what these issues have to do with the genocide committed by Saddam?

I did think the UN bills were paid, and that Ted Turner had a large role in the payment. Furthermore, it was my understanding that Senator Helms, who had held up the payments, finally relented. The payment of bills is a congressional matter.

>>there needs to be clear definitions for these acts and the organization has to be independent and without veto privileges or it won't fly. I will fully support you in that campaign<<

Clearly that is a somewhat ridiculous fantasy. In fact, given the danger of hysterical anti-Americanism, it is a dangerous fantasy. However, if we do agree that genocide has occurred, it is bad, and the UN is inept, what next?
