A public slap on the wrist would have been a nice gesture, and would go a long way towards two goals -- reminding us about the limits of polite discourse, and encouraging the conservatives who feel like the thread is not balanced. Which, by the way, you've been doing a very good job about lately, thank you. And, I don't want to let it go unnoticed that some conservatives (not naming names) have definitely stepped over the line without a public wrist slapping, so I assume that there were private reprimands.
