I don't really see it as being a special interest cause, weather you are talking about the Jewish lobby, the oil lobby or fundamentalist Christians as the special interest. It is quite obviously being driven by the Jewish and WASP lobby which right now is not a bad thing.

I said demographic. You said special interest. They aren't the same thing. The former characterizes the war supporters, identifies those to whom the war message resonates. The latter suggests that war supporters are consciously out to advance their special interests. Different spin. I'm not suggesting any conspiracy or duplicity or subterfuge. Not at all. Only resonance.
