I lived 15 years in Boston and know Southie well. Southie voted almost 100% for George Wallace. They are Reagan democrats partially because of the busing crisis. (ie they dont like blacks) Kerry has always been "too liberal" for them. I know the Southie State Rep personally and had dinner with him recently. Asked him about Kerry and he shrugged. "He's not our really kind of guy". And good thing. Southie is known for breeding gangster politicians. Otherwise very nice people. gg It's actually a good thing when Southie snubs you. They are the most far-right group in Massachusetts. They dont like Bush or Romney either by the way, despite what this article says. They were 100% for Romney's irish rival, what's her name? Southies stick together. They actually dont like anyone but their own. Kerry has never gotten their votes and never will. Neither will Bush ever get certain groups in Texas. When you see a egative article out of Massachusetts on Kerry it's either be the Southie right-wing Democrats or the Romney Republicans.
