Just, Perhaps there are large diverse communities of elder races out there. They do not want to interfere with us, so the stealth themselves. The only indication we see is a mass discrepancy...dark matter....all the elder civilizations from day 1 hidden? Well, not likely. The light speed isolation is a powerful barrier to operating an interstellar empire. There will not be found any faster way to get around. 1-2% of light speed is the max speed for long journeys = robots or sleeping crews are the only way. That said, an elder race that started a billion years ago could have explored and colonised our galaxy from core to edge easily. Perhaps they did? I am not sure if SETI will find anything. ?? Bill
