Why do they always give him the stuff that gets disproved? Because that's all they have. These morons [Administration] have lost sight of what intelligence really is...gossip. They have some defectors and informants that are more than happy to tell the US what they want to hear. You can just imagine the dialogue between the CIA and the informant... CIA: Where's the WMD...here's a $100 Informant: They are in the facilities that were rebuilt. CIA: They weren't there...where are they....here's a $100. Informant: Uh...they put them in non-military facilities...check the booze factory. CIA: They weren't there..where are they?...here's a $100. Informant: Uh...they put them in "mobile" factories. CIA: We told the UN, they can't find any evidence of any mobile factories...where are they....here's a $100. Informant: They can't find them because the Iraqis have bugged the inspectors and move them before they get their... CIA: We told the UN they've been bugged and the UN says they've checked and they are not...where are the WMD? Here's another $100. Informant: Hmmm...how about they move everything, tons of WMD, tons of documents every 12 hours...would you buy that? CIA: That reminds me...you told us that the Iraqis were using intelligence officers as substitute nuclear physicists....the UN says it doesn't take long to figure out that an intelligence officer doesn't have expertise in nuclear physics...what's up with that...here's a $100. Informant: They went back to using real scientists and threatened them, their families and bugged them. CIA: ...... Bush: Why doesn't the UN Security Council believe us...I can't understand it.
