Bingo!

Now which is it?

Should he off some of his generals?

All of them?

or ignore this report?

That's a tough one, ...maybe he should listen to the voice in the back of his paranoid little head, ...or maybe not!

...hehehehehehe

I look at it differently. Saddam already had a system almost as paranoid as Stalin. If they really ARE talking, they have covered their butts. Most likely it's from the bottom up. Before a single vehicle moves on the ground, the bombing will have the Iraq military in ruins. Casualties will run 50% to 90%. And you can't surrender to a bomb.

The administration attitude more than compensates for the cowardice of France, Russia, and Germany. There WILL be a war, and it WILL be in less than 2 weeks, regardless of what the UN does. If Saddam can emerge from his bunker even today, I'd be surprised.

Thus, the long-expected war may be skipped in favor of mass surrender. It's not about left-wing media and their rigged opinion polls in Iraq, like it is in Europe...

For the key: Look to the day we extend the "no fly zone" over the entirety of Iraq. Anyone who wants to run and survive will have to run then...

And, as in Italy in 1945, we may enter Baghdad to find Saddam, and all his doubles, hung neatly with piano wire...
