Same stuff was known in the '80s..so the credibility issue..

also all the talk of HIM (personalize the situation) building this and that..in the same breath you say in one of your messages his folks want to surrender..also we all know how 'well-equipped' most of his folks were in 1991.

Regardless, I WANT THAT TYRANT REMOVED TOO!..

BUT ONLY WITH BROAD BROAD I MEAN BROAD SUPPORT. That is the difference.

anyway can argue this endlessly and I really have gotta go. Done with my fill for posts this a.m.

thx and good luck all

Steve,

That Saddam needs to be removed is moot end of story.

You can only go by what he has done in the past.
Of course that cuts both ways.
Watching news other than the US based services it is apparent to me that at issue also is the aftermath and US 'plans'. Will the US learn anything this time from having made poor choices before re: supporting Saddam, OBL, the Shah, whereas trying to buy Turkey certainly doesn't indicate this is a lesson learned. (Yeah I know 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend' blah blah yawn..). Will this become an orgy to invigorate the US economy ? Interesting that the US is being viewed by so many as the lesser of evils..

As for the British well their middle east record speaks for itself. They set the borders of Iraq with no (ok extremely little) consideration for existing ethnic or religious differences. A Kurdistan would have been appropriate then but who cares about the Kurds really anyway eh! The Turks would love to erase them. The world also benefits to this day from British meddling in Kashmir, interestingly enough. Quite a legacy.

At any rate let's hope the bad guys get theirs and the good guys really are good guys.

Good trading all. Time for work.

Regards
Kastel CCC
