The problem is your mixing The Principled Tony Blair and the Political Tony Blair. Cant have it both ways. Tony Blair needs to stand on Principle or politics not both.

Should he lose in a future election because his countrymen disagree with his principle; why should he feel bad? More likely this last minute garbage is the political insider working the other side of the fence as he was programmed to do from the beginning. This was all quite predictable.

Saving the real trojan horse until the last minute to further bury the principles in a deeper obfuscation so as to try and have it both ways. This would be expected of Putin who made his life inside the game, we are coming to understand the minders behind the Prime minister.

Principles or Politics; thats the key acid test.
