"
The threat of Saddam has been blown way out of proportion. What hasn't been mentioned though by the administration is a trillion dollars worth of oil. That's what they really want, and considering they're a bunch of ex oil executives I can see why. "

Right on ASS. after the 2 week subjection of Saddam, and he flees to Paris, we turn ccw . Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the piece-of-resistance (I refuse to use the french term) Iran. We then round up the Palestinian murderers of innocent civilians bring peace to all, or else. No more oil embargos, no more Muslim extortion of the civilized world. Democracy for all Might even fit you in.

Let's Roll

<<The threat of Saddam has been blown way out of proportion.>>

Could you substantiate that?

1) He doesn't like us.
2) He is building and has WMD - that is a fact.
3) He is a dictator.

Individually these don't seem like a lot. But you only need to look at N. Korea to see what happens when a 3) dictator, who gets his hands on 2) WMD, and then on top of that 1) doesn't like us can do.

The fact that there is oil there, so what? Do you think we'll go in there and steal the fields? There is oil in Saudia Arabia, we're not bombing them. It's a moronic argument.

I'll further that by saying that if we took the French route during the 90's, we could relax the sanctions and oil prices would have plummeted. That would have been enough. But we didn't.

The US has the moral high ground on this one. Just ask the Chechens, Tibetans, Taiwanese, French-Africans, and Eastern Europe.

as,

re:The threat of Saddam has been blown way out of proportion.

What part of him being in violation of 17 UN resolutions for over 12 years is out of proportion?

What part of him being resposible for the deaths of over million Muslims is out of proportion?

What part of the fact he is concealing WMD and doesn't want to disarm is out of proportion?

re:What hasn't been mentioned though by the administration is a trillion dollars worth of oil.

Haven't you heard, Saddam will blow up all the wells so he can deny his people the money to rebuild a better society?

re:considering they're a bunch of ex oil executives I can see why.

What oil companies are they executives of?
