To be honest, my experience has taught me to expect stupidity behind most bushes. The good intentions that I see are a (probably stupid) victory of idealism over good sense. The only positive reinforcement I have for still expecting good intentions is that I haven't been burned yet for giving anyone the benefit of the doubt. Knock on wood--which can be readily found atop the shoulders of most bush denizens.
