Rocker Bryan Adams has helped wake a woman from a seven-year coma.

Christiane Kittell, 24, opened her eyes and called out her mother's name during an Adams concert in Regensburg, Germany.

Mother Adelheid Kitter said: "She was totally fascinated by the music and the singer.

"It was an evening I will never forget. I could have hugged the whole world."

She said Christiane was a big Adams fan and was taken to the show in a special wheelchair.

"When I knew Bryan Adams was playing near us I knew I had to take her," she said.

Christiane fell into coma when she suffered a blood clot on her lung when she was 16.
