running mate, he opted not to receive his leaving payment in a lump sum but instead have it paid to him over five years, possibly for tax reasons.

BTW, I am proud Halliburton/Brown & Root are getting the nod....both a capable companies. The fact the Cheney was involved with them, makes it all the better to me.
