If Moran is serious about getting an active anti-war movement in gear he needs to inflame people who are sidelining the issue. I still think his biggest mistake was apologizing instead of qualifying his remarks. Anyway, I am glad he got shut down, even if it is for the wrong reasons.

I am concerned with it inflaming gentiles

I take your point. But, had inflammed Jews not made an issue of their inflammation, "us gentiles" would never have heard of the incident and whatever prejudice we might have had or not had would have remained undisturbed.

FWIW, I have been fascinated with this neocon/Jewish "code word" matter. I was totally and utterly oblivious to that. I've since soldiered through lots of material on the subject. I can see that it's a raw issue that has worsened with the war and now with the Moran incident. Who knew? Not this gentile, fer sure. The taxonomy of conservatism has always interested me. Seems that this new wrinkle has stirred that up. I just hate code words. I always find myself left without a code book and feeling foolish.

If anyone else is interested, I have a few links. The first is a nice but long essay on the transformation of a Jew to neoconservatism. The rest are in the inflammatory category.
