One thing that is observable in Europe is that ethnic differences are more visible: it is easier to tell a Frenchman from a German from an Italian, and so on. But also, class differences tend to be more physical. Frenchmen, for example, are mostly short and slender. Those who are tall and solid tend to be from old haute bourgeois or aristocratic families, like DeGaulle and Mitterand. I think racism is easier over there, and classism too......
