If attacked and Saddam lights up the oil fields, it could take 2 to 3 years to put it out. ???

Gary >'Illegal war' could mean soldiers face prosecution.
I don't see how this could possibly be done.

The article states, "The court, which was formally opened in the Hague yesterday, has the power to bring to trial individual soldiers, commanders and politicians charged with war crimes." So, presumably, the whole lot can be charged.

>So what stage are we at now, 2&3? Will the soldiers fall under #5? The hawks will no doubt do their best to grab #6.

I think that's about it. Except, of course, if the war doesn't go ahead, for whatever reason, or it goes ahead but not over in 24 hours, and Bush ends up with tomato-sauce on his face, there will be a great witch-hunt for scapegoats and a great covering of arses. Watching Ari Fleischer's sullen face on TV this evening gave me the feeling that he thinks he may be a "fall-guy".
