I think it does, and I think it's a stupid policy. I don't think we should support Israel. But not because Jews live there, simply because it's not in our national interest and is, in fact, counter to our national interest.

The choice of isolationism (which you have brought up before) is tempting but ultimately only defers.

This is ALL about Islamic Imperialism versus western culture. Economic wealth has given them ability to access technology and to threaten expansion. Regardless of religious views, Israel is still our ONE civilized and friendly base in the region. She must be defended at all costs as a matter of pragmatism if not principle.
