Joe Lieberman is my state representative. He is neither wealthy nor a Likudnik. Yes, he's a Jew. But to make the kind of statement you made insults and misrepresents him. Democrats like Joe Lieberman -- rich, Jewish, Zionist and Likudnik -- would be almost as bad as Bush and Wolfowitz if they were in charge IMHO

I think you're correct about the need to recognize support from differing ethnic groups. However, not all members of a single ethnic group feel the same way. As shown by recent advertisements in publications such as The New York Times, a growing number of Jews living in New York oppose the policies of Sharon, the settlements, and the stated objective of some Israelis to drive the Palenstinians out of the occupied lands and occupy them permanently.
