The implication that ABT is a better way to play MLNM is absurd - even if MLNM were to increase its capitalization by 8 billion over the next few years, that would just amount to about 25 cents on ABT's stock price. And if MLNM was that attractive to ABT, they probably wouldn't mind relieving the company of its debt problems by making a strategic $660M equity investment in the firm..
