JLA, you are really stupid. Of course, I know the DOJ claims that ....enemy combatants are not entitled to see lawyers..... even when they are citizens of the US. That is what makes the actions of the DOJ a violation of their civil rights. Are you aware the Constitution protects the right of a citizen in custody to talk to their lawyer even when the DOJ has designated them an eenemy combatant. That is why Padilla won at the hearing.

I think the key point here is that he's a US citizen, and as far as I'm concerned, even the slimiest, scumbag, piece of sh!t is entitled to due process. If our civil liberties get trampled right and left in the name of "preserving freedom", then the terrorists will have won...
