There just gets to be a point where the shorts are all in and the longs get a fresh burst of cash -- asset allocations from bonds for example. I started off yesterday when the DOW was down abut 100 points and bought oex calls, but this morning I sold the oex calls in the first burst of buying and bought qqq calls in the first lull. There is a very issue of a cyclical comeback in capex tech spending. It is ironic that much of the impetus to go into Iraq was a wag-the-dog approach last summer -- now we are stuck with a "war" that is killing our economy. The thought of us getting out of this war without firing a shot is awesome. I don't b uy it, but I am riding the rally. I think next week there is a strong possibility that the market will be in an "oh shit" mood, when it sinks in that there is probably no way out of this stinking mess.
