No Victor, not the end of the world, just the end of the American era of global leadership and prosperity -- both of which sprung from the true respect people feel for the values we once lived by -- people still revere those values and wonder why we abandoned them. The true motivation behind our regime change policy is ideological, not WMD. The ideology driving our foreign policy is revolting to the rest of the world, and is at odds for the liberty we say we stand for. That is why people are demonstrating. That is why we have no allies. All of this is not only tragic, it is thoroughly unnecessary. We had every reason in the world to disarm Saddam -- and we still do. We had no reason to abandon disarmament and adopt our regime change policy in its place. Had we not done so, we would have all the support we need to invade Iraq and change the regime -- ironic is it not? No, not ironic -- pathetic.
