Res 1441 also does NOT give the go-ahead for "significant action" to be taken unilaterally by a bunch of bomb happy, for-profit oligarchists

"I don't see anyone preparing to invade them, though."

Invading Israel and Turkey for what purpose? To achieve what end? Israel and Turkey have elections and their administrations will come and go, but Saddam, well, like any despot he needs a coup or death before he'll gives up his murderous rampage.

Something like that. Does not say anything about invasion, though.

Ok fine.. call it an "intervention", if that will please you...

What do you think it meant, baseless threats and turning northern Kuwait into a desert KOA for 200,000+ American troops??

Maybe we should let the parties who decided on that resolution (i.e. UN Security Council) also decide what to do in case of its breach?

Heck, we already know what France and Russia want to do.. They want to lift sanctions so they can collect their reward from Saddam for all of their hard fought battles on his behalf.. Billions in oil contracts..
