Last July we had two consecutive up days of approximately 9:1 up volume vs down volume. The expected return twelve months out is between negative one per cent and positive thirty-eight per cent (from Marty Zweig's book Winning on Wall Street, 1994). Nine to one days by themselves aren't as reliable as those that occur two or more times within a three month period. Needless to say not guaranteed but something to not forget.
